Abstract

Risk management has become a strategic element for ensuring operational continuity and business sustainability in environments characterized by technological, competitive, and market changes. The objective of this study was to analyze the current situation of a digital printing company in Paraguay and propose a risk management model aimed at strengthening its operational performance and sustainability. A mixed-method, descriptive, and proposal-oriented research design was employed, supported by documentary analysis, interviews with managers, and surveys administered to operational personnel and area coordinators. International risk management frameworks, including ISO 31000 and COSO ERM, were used as theoretical references. The findings revealed internal and external risks related to operational processes, technological factors, human resources, and market conditions, as well as weaknesses associated with organizational culture, policy updates, and technical capabilities for preventive risk management. Based on these findings, a comprehensive model was designed, incorporating risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and continuous monitoring. The study concludes that implementing the proposed model can help reduce vulnerabilities, optimize resources, strengthen organizational resilience, and improve the long-term sustainability of the digital printing company.
